1. What is GYXTW fiber optic cable?

GYXTW fiber optic cable is one of most popular fiber optic cable for outdoor with central loose tube and light armored, it is most use for aerial, duct or direct burial

GY: Outdoor cable for communication
X: Central Loose Tube (Central Tube Structure)
T: Filled structure (Gel-filled/Waterproof)
W: Steel tape-polyethylene bonded sheath (Light Armored)

Cable structure: Single Loose Tube filled with waterproof compound, wrapped in PSP steel tape and a PE sheath.

Fiber: 25μm colored fibers (1-12 colors, typically).
Loose Tube: Filled with special waterproof gel for tube fiber protection.
Water Blocking: Water-blocking material between steel tape and tube.
Armor: Corrugated steel tape (PSP) bonded with PE sheath.
Strength Member: Parallel steel wires.

3. Characteristics:
  • Fiber Count: Typically ranges from 2 to 24 cores.
  • Fiber type: Single mode G652D, Single mode G657A1, Single mode G657A2, Single mode G655. Multimode OM1 62.5/125, Multimode OM2 50/125, Multimode OM3 50/125, Multimode OM4 50/125 and Multimode OM5 50/125. 
  • Armoring: Uses PSP (Plastic-Steel-Polyethylene) corrugated steel tape for moisture proofing and crush resistance.
  • Strength Members: Features two parallel steel wires that provide high tensile strength, making it suitable for hanging between poles (aerial spans).
  • Water-blocking: The central tube is filled with a water-resistant gel, and water-blocking material is often placed between the steel tape and the tube.
  • Outer Jacket: Made of black, UV-resistant polyethylene (PE) to withstand outdoor weather conditions.
  • Temperature Range: Generally operates between -40°C and +70°C.
